Is He The “Warren Buffett” of Mining?
Find out how this man’s prospecting resulted in some major discoveries in the mining space (and led to buyouts of $139 million and $520 million, and one company’s value increasing 1,647%)…

And how he hopes to do it again with his latest deal – CDN Maverick Capital Corp. (AXVEF:OTC, CDN:CSE).

CDN Maverick is teaming up with one of The World’s Best Prospectors, Shawn Ryan.

Shawn Ryan has an impressive track record of prospecting work that’s led to multiple discoveries with billion-dollar potential.

There’s a $2.7 trillion automotive revolution happening right now, and it’s set to multiply the demand for lithium 5-fold in the coming years.

CDN Maverick has locked up a 97,927 acre lithium project – an area larger than the city of Detroit – in the heart of one of the world’s top lithium districts. The land also covers some of the highest lithium lake sediment anomalies in central Quebec.

CDN Maverick has a tight share structure with only 13 million shares outstanding.

The “World’s Most Successful Prospector” Joins CDN Maverick
You may have never heard of him…
But Shawn Ryan’s work has quietly led to multiple major discoveries with billion-dollar-plus potential.
We’re talking about finds that led to buyouts totaling $139 million… Of $520 million… And valuation increases of up to 1,647%.
We think he’s like a “Warren Buffett of mining”. And like Buffett, he comes from humble beginnings. In fact, Ryan first refined his resource-hunting skills as a mushroom forager in the high north.
Since then, his prospecting work has led to the gold and silver discoveries worth potentially billions of dollars.

He’s also been credited with helping trigger the biggest klondike gold rush in over 100 years.1
And his successes have made national headlines in the New York Times, Popular Mechanics and CBS’ 60 Minutes:
The New York Times named him the:
“King of a New Yukon Gold Rush.” 2

Popular Mechanics calls him:

And CBS’ 60 Minutes says:
“Shawn Ryan has become the biggest gold prospector in the Yukon.” 4

Today, he’s considered one of the best in the business at what he does.
Ryan’s work has helped companies generate millions in value.
He’s Our Pick For The Kind Of Jockey Worth Betting On…
You may remember a company called Underworld Resources…
Underworld was developing one of Ryan’s first big discoveries. But before the project got to production, Kinross (KGC:NYSE) – one of the largest mining companies in the world – swooped in and bought the project as part of a $139 million takeover.

The market valuation increased by almost 1,647% in only four years.5,6
He found similar success with Kaminak Gold…
Kaminak was another company that got the benefits of Ryan’s expertise. His prospecting work here led to a major multi-million ounce discovery… which was then picked up by Goldcorp in a very sizeable $520 million deal.7
Kaminak saw its market value multiply more than 10-fold after Ryan’s project was added to the portfolio in 2009 (and that happened in less than three years!).8

Listen, Ryan’s track record speaks for itself.
We think it’s almost like he has a crystal ball – a “sixth sense” for finding potentially valuable mineral deposits.
Without a doubt he’s our pick for the kind of jockey we want to bet on.
CDN Maverick (AXVEF:OTC, CDN:CSE) is Teaming Up With Shawn Ryan to Explore the Prolific James Bay Lithium District

CDN Maverick just struck a deal with Shawn Ryan to acquire one of the largest land packages in the prolific James Bay lithium exploration district of Quebec, Canada.
The new properties are being called the Chabinoche Project and they consist of a 100%-interest in 97,927 acres of potentially lithium-rich land.
To put the size of this project in perspective, it equates to over 153 square miles of real estate… a swath of land larger than the entire city of Detroit.
It’s also almost twice as much land as the nearby Corvette Property, which is the prized possession of Patriot Battery Metals. Of course, results achieved on proximate properties don’t guarantee mineralization on the company’s property but…
The sheer size of the project positions CDN Maverick as one of the largest interest holders in the area.
In fact, when it comes to land…

We think CDN Maverick (AXVEF:OTC, CDN:CSE) is one of the most exciting explorers around.
With a market cap of approximately $18 million, and over 97,000 acres, it’s assembling a portfolio of prime lithium exploration real estate for a mere $183 per acre.9
To compare, Patriot Battery Metals’ Corvette Property is only 52,774 acres but the company has a market cap of about $1 billion.10
Of course, CDN Maverick’s property is still very early-stage while Patriot Battery Metals is much further along its exploration journey. But with greater risk often comes greater potential rewards…
And CDN Maverick has what we consider a secret weapon in Shawn Ryan, a man that’s been called “The World’s Best Prospector”.
Could Shawn Ryan’s Work on the Chabinoche Project Lead to Another Potential Discovery?
Ryan’s track record for prospecting work that leads to discoveries speaks for itself.
Of course, previous successes don’t guarantee future results, but with Chabinoche, Ryan thinks he’s sitting on something that’s extremely compelling. Why?
Because he’s used the same tactics to stake these claims as he did when prospecting for previous gold deposits.
His early analysis shows these claims cover some of the highest lithium lake sediment anomalies in central Quebec, with most values exceeding the 97% percentile and 40% exceeding the 99%+ range.
The project also straddles Poncheville lake, which has over 100 pegmatite dykes mapped along its shores – another highly prospective sign.
You see, while lithium can be found in various parts of the world, the James Bay region of Quebec (where CDN Maverick’s project is located) is viewed by some experts as special because it’s home to what are called “pegmatite intrusions”.
Pegmatite intrusions are rock formations that may hold a trove of various minerals rarely found in other rocks.
They are known for their potential for storing significant amounts of lithium-bearing minerals like lepidolite, petalite, and spodumene – some of the most coveted types of lithium for high-end battery makers.

Pegmatite lithium deposits like the ones CDN Maverick is targeting have several advantages compared to other sources like brines found in Nevada, Argentina, and Chile:
- More flexible: The lithium hosted in spodumene can be processed into either lithium hydroxide or lithium carbonate. Brines initially can only be processed into carbonate, and then will need to be further processed into hydroxide however at an additional cost.
- Faster processing: Brines can take a lot longer to process due to the evaporation required making for an inconsistent process compared to spodumene
- Higher quality: Spodumene typically hosts higher lithium content in comparison to most brines
So, what that means is if you find “pegmatite intrusions”, it’s a sign you’re quite possibly on the right track to striking lithium.
And speaking of potentially striking lithium…
We Think The Best Place to Look For a Lithium Mine is Next to an Existing One
You’ve probably heard the saying, “if you’re looking for elephants, go to elephant country”.
Well, we believe the same rings true for finding lithium. And while mineralization on nearby properties is not necessarily indicative of mineralization on its own project…
CDN’s Chabinoche Project is a “geological stone’s throw” from some of the biggest lithium discoveries in the world:
- The Whabouchi Project: 36.6 million tons at 1.3% Li2O. 11
- The James Bay Project: 37.2 million tons at 1.3% Li2O. 12
- And the Rose Project: 26.3 million tons at 0.87% Li2O. 13

Also nearby is North America’s only large-scale lithium mine.
Aptly named the North American Lithium Complex, the mine started operations this past March and is expected to produce 120,000 tonnes of hard rock lithium spodumene this year… a prize worth over $637 million.14
Once in full swing, production is expected to hit 226,000 tonnes per year with sales generating upwards of $1.3 billion annually.15
Tesla and South Korea’s LG Chem Ltd have already signed on as major buyers of the mine’s lithium.
In fact, many EV makers are aggressively pursuing deals to secure lithium supplies. And these sorts of deals, once secured, can have a big potential impact on a junior miner.
Just look what happened with Piedmont Lithium…
How Tesla Boosted A Lithium Explorer’s Valuation Multi-Fold
Three years ago, Piedmont was an exploration company with no sales and a market capitalization of about $130 million.
Then it signed a deal with Tesla…
The day that happened, investors took notice. And Piedmont’s market cap increased…to the tune of 236% in ONE day.16

Indeed, the impact on the company’s valuation following the Tesla announcement was significant.
But the increase in company’s valuation from the early-stage – before the Tesla deal, back when the company was still exploring for lithium – was really substantial.
Tesla isn’t the only automaker trying to secure lithium supplies either…
- Ford recently signed a deal with Liontown Resources for 150,000 dry metric tonnes of lithium spodumene concentrate a year… 17

- GM signed a deal to secure battery-grade lithium hydroxide from Livent’s South American lithium operations… 18

- And Chrylser, Dodge, Jeep owner Stellantis also signed a deal with Australian-based Vulcan Energy to supply battery-grade lithium hydroxide. 19

Volkswagen also recently announced it plans on investing $7 billion to build a massive EV battery plant in the province of Ontario – just a few hundred miles from CDN Maverick. 20
The plant will be VW’s largest in North America and has the potential to be the largest VW plant in the world.21
Quebec’s lithium mines would be a logical choice for Volkswagen’s supply chain.
They would minimize transportation time, cut costs, and eliminate the geopolitical risk of sourcing lithium from another country – which is quickly becoming a major factor with the government of Chile, the world’s second largest lithium producer and holder of the world’s largest lithium reserves, just announced plans to nationalize their lithium industry.22
Signing a deal with an EV maker has the potential to be a major boon for any junior lithium exploration company.
Will CDN Maverick one day get that call? It’s too early to say.
But one thing is for certain…

The Lithium Boom Is Just Getting Started
Ford thinks 40% of global vehicle volume could be fully electric by 2030. 23
Investment banking firm UBS projects electric vehicles (EVs) could account for upwards of 50% of all global new cars sales in the next nine years. 24
And advisory firm Deloitte estimates that by 2030, over 31 million electric vehicles will be sold annually – a ten-fold increase from 2020.25
The number of batteries that will be required to meet 2030 demand is equivalent to the entire amount of power produced by the Hoover Dam for an entire year. 26
It could send the demand for lithium soaring.
In fact, the World Economic Forum projects the demand for lithium will reach over 3 million tons of lithium carbonate equivalent by 2030 – a 5-fold increase from the approximate 600,000 tons produced in 2021. 27
It’s the equivalent of needing to bring online SIXTEEN new Salar de Atacama mines. Salar de Atacama is the largest lithium producing mine in Chile (which may also soon be nationalized given the recent government announcement). 28

“The Lithium Market Could Be Set To Boom” 38

“We’ll have shortages for decades to come.” 39

“Global demand for Li-ion batteries is expected to soar over the next decade.” 40
Or put another way, it’s more lithium than was produced across the entire globe for the past 30 years… combined. 29
Listen, this the biggest transformation of the auto industry since Henry Ford invented the moving assembly line in 1913.
It’s a $2.7 trillion revolution – and if companies play it right, it could be one of the largest, most tremendous opportunities of the century. 30
Another Reason CDN Maverick Is Our Top Pick…
Let me share with you another little tidbit…
You see, not only do we think CDN Maverick is a keenly positioned lithium exploration company. But we believe the company’s share structure is notably tighter than other lithium exploration companies and more advanced companies in the sector.
CDN Maverick has only 13.2 million shares outstanding (as of April 30, 2023). 31
Compare this to some other bigger companies operating in the lithium sector that have much larger public floats:
- Piedmont Lithium: 19.1 million shares outstanding… 32
- Patriot Battery Metals: 99.9 million shares outstanding… 33
- Sigma Lithium: 107.2 million shares outstanding… 34
- Lithium Ionic: 121.4 million shares outstanding… 35
Why is this important? Because the number of shares outstanding is an important factor in determining a company’s market cap and valuation.
Listen, there are several reasons why CDN Maverick (AXVEF:OTC, CDN:CSE) is worth your attention…
- CDN Maverick is teaming up with “The World’s Best Prospector”, Shawn Ryan.
- Shawn Ryan has an impressive track record for prospecting and has made multiple discoveries with billion-dollar potential.
- There’s a $2.7 trillion automotive revolution happening right now, and it’s set to multiply the demand for lithium 5-fold in the coming years.
- CDN Maverick has locked up a 97,927 acre lithium project – an area larger than the city of Detroit – in the heart of one of the world’s top lithium districts. The land also covers some of the highest lithium lake sediment anomalies in central Quebec.
- CDN Maverick has a tight share structure with only 13 million shares outstanding.
And remember…
Ryan’s track record for his role in significant discoveries is very impressive. Remember, he’s also been involved with buyouts of $139 million… of $520 million… and valuation increases of up to 1,647% before.
We believe he has the potential to find similar success with CDN Maverick.
